Stan Devereaux Sinnett was born to Blackfeet and French parents on the Blackfeet Reservation in Montana. He spent his early years living with his grandparents on their ranch along the Cut Bank Creek near Browning. His artistic talents became apparent at a very early age winning awards in local school and State Fair shows. Stan was not able to pursue his talent full-time until some years later when he attended Chouinard Art Institute. Stan Sinnett He studied illustration and design earning a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts from Chouinard and a Masters Degree in Illustration and Design from California State University. While working on his Masters, Stan and twenty-one other university student artists were honored by being selected to participate in a group showing called, The New Masters, held at the Syntex Corporation in Palo Alto, California.

Stan has worked as an illustrator for such clients as the Los Angeles School District, the Boeing Corporation, and Donahue & Associates in Chicago to name just a few. Over the years, Stan has introduced countless students to the world of art though his classes in drawing and painting. He has also held numerous workshops. He is proficient in working in oil, acrylic, water color, pencil, pen and ink. His works have varied in size from 4" x 5" to 8' x 30', the largest of his works to-date. His one-man shows have been held from Montana to California and he has participated in several group shows in which he won many awards for his creative endeavors. His works are in private and public collections across the country including the Museum of the Plains Indian in Browning, Montana.Stan was selected by authors Peggy and Harold Samuel to be included in their book, Contemporary Western Artists. In addition, Mr. Noel Goldblatt honored Stan when he chose him to be included in his work People of the Century Collection.
